Barbara H. O’Connor, 84, passed away at home in Malden on May 6th, 2009. She was born in Medford on October 24th, 1924 to her parents Thomas and Josephine (Doherty) Duffy. Barbara was raised in Medford and is a graduate of Medford High School. She has lived in Malden for most of her adult life. Barbara worked as a Clerk for the Department of Employment Security in Massachusetts for several years. She has been a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Parish for most of her life. She is survived her children, Patricia Holland of Reading, Thomas M. O’Connor of North Reading, Paul O. O’Connor of Malden and Maureen Trickett of Woburn; by her siblings, Lois Riley of Medford and Margaret Walsh of New York; and by eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Thomas B. O’Connor Jr. and by her brother Thomas Duffy Jr. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday May 8th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass on Friday only.
