Louis R. Mucci, 85 of Watertown MA, died Sunday after a brief illness in the Emerson Rehabilitation And Nursing Center Watertown, MA.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Joseph and Concetta (Iacovelli).
Mr. Mucci was a Foreman at the former Charlestown Navy Yard and retired in 1977 also worked as Senior Custodian at the Newton City Hall until his retirment in 1987. Louis served in the U.S. Navy during WW II from 12/15/1942 to 12/16/1945. He also was a member of the DAV of Boston, VFW Post 1272 in Belmont and the American Legion Post 440.
Beloved husband of Frances “Jean” (Sperlinga). Devoted father of Judith Genest and her husband Paul of Ashland, Stephen Mucci and his wife Lisa of Yarmouthport. Grandfather of Joseph Massi. Brother of Frances Mortellite of Everett, and Theresa Iacovelli of Florida.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD, Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Luke Church, 132 Lexington St., Belmont at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.
Interment will be private.
