Stella M. Kornacki, 100, of Joyce Ann Drive in Greenville died Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of the late Felix E. Kornacki.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Figurski) Tilenda, she lived in Smithfield since 1963 previously living in West Warwick.
Mrs. Kornacki was a parishioner of St. Philip’s Church since 1963 to the present. She started a Senior Citizens Group at the church and was also a member of the choir. She belonged to the Legions of Mary, AARP, Johnston and Smithfield Senior Citizens’ Clubs.
She is survived by her sons, Richard D. Kornacki of Greenville and Robert F. Kornacki and his wife, Joan of Henderson, NV, grandchildren, Candice Lotterhos and her husband Joseph Edward and Robert A. Kornacki and his wife Kim and three great grandchildren, Brian, William and Jocelyn. She was the sister of the late Ann Castiglione, Stanley, Ben and Joseph Tilenda
Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:00AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:OOAM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-7 pm.
