Obituary

N. Dighton, Robert Windsor Tinkham a N. Dighton resident for over 54 years died Saturday May 2nd at Morton Hospital Medical Center after a lengthy illness He was 77 years of age. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Neveu) Tinkham They had been married for 54 years Mr. Tinkham was born in Dighton son of the late Percy B and Flossie (Knott) Tinkham Bob was a truck driver for most of his life. He drove a truck for Stop & Shop Supermarkets for many years retiring in 1995. He also Belonged to Local #25 Teamsters Union in Boston. He attended Taunton High School and Taunton Vocational School. Bob Served in the US Navy aboard the USS Mitcher DL2 He also received the National Defense Medal. Bob was an avid race car fan and he enjoyed driving trucks, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson. He is survived by one son Robert W. Tinkham JR and his wife Kathleen of Holbrook, MA He was preceded in death by his son Michael Tinkham He also leaves one brother Peter Tinkham and his wife Sandra of Allen, Texas He also leaves 2 grandsons Ryan and Andrew Tinkham, 2 granddaughters Racheal Tinkham and Haley Blanchette. He also leaves one great grandson Nicholas Michael Tinkham and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday May 8th at 9:00am at Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton Relatives and friends are invited to attend In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dighton Ambulance Fund PO Box 603 Dighton MA 02715 or a charity of ones choice Arrangements made by the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St.) J.
