Obituary

Mancil W. Adair, 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Dorminy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, May 5, 2009, Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Griner officiating. The eulogy will be given by his brother, Mark Adair. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Adair was born December 18, 1929 to the late Mancil Lee and Lois Evelyn Ware Adair. He was a Machine Specialist for Kimball Dairy, was a former employee of Lowell Packing and also worked for Harry Mitchell. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by 6 children: Mildred L. (Dewey) Taylor, Hilda B. Reliford, William W. (Nora) Adair, James L. (Shirley) Adair, Venice M. (Elvis) Steverson and David D. Adair, all of Fitzgerald,GA; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; Brothers, C.L. Adair, Tilton, AR, Mark Adair, Pine Bluff, AR, and Dan Adair, Gosnell, AR; Sisters, Evelyn Adams, Greenville, MS, Jewell Davis, Tunica, MS, Lownett Oldham, Melbourne, AK, Effie Gonzales, AK, Ruby Vanderyt, FL and Earlene Stack, FL. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Travis and Willie Adair.
