Augusta, GA – Ms. Ruby Smalley Kitchens, 76, entered into rest on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Doctor’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Salem Baptist Church, Lincolnton, GA at 3:00 PM with the Rev. Deryl Odom officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincolnton, GA.
Survivors include three sons, John Michael (Susan) Kitchens, Leonard M. (Laura) Kitchens, Paul A. Kitchens all of Augusta, GA; two daughters, Francis K. Garvin of Waxahachie, TX , Janie K. (Henry) Tetreault of Augusta, GA, 20 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee and Janie May Greene Smalley, three brothers, James Robert Smalley, Lloyd Smalley, Floyd Smalley; two sons, Edward Lee Kitchens, Clay Kitchens; and a daughter, Roberta Pauline Cash.
A native of Augusta, GA, Ms. Kitchens, was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, writing poems, and Sewing. She was a great cook and loved gardening. She was a very loving and caring person, who adopted many to her heart.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Tony Kitchens, Clay Kitchens, Winston Gilcrest, Matthew Kitchens, Robert Palmer, and Kenny Palmer.
The family will receive friends, at the Church on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
