WARBURTON, CARL R., 79, of Paramus died on Friday, May 1, 2009. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Loving brother of Anna Hansen and her late husband Don, and brother of the late John Warburton. Devoted father of Christopher and his wife Caroline, Patrick and his wife Lorraine, Francis and his civil-union partner Donald Uber, and Joseph and his wife Donna. He was “Papa Carl” to his grandsons Frankie, Patrick, Paul and granddaughter Julia Rose. Carl was the cherished Uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Paramus in 1956. He had been a resident ever since. He was the owner of Paramus Drywall up until the late 1960’s. He worked as a Building Inspector in Paramus, Emerson and Franklin Lakes. He was a beloved, Paramus, Little League coach throughout the 1970’s. He spent his last years caring for his grandchildren and enjoying conversations and laughter with his friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ. Friends and family will meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 5 at 9:00 a.m., before a mass of Catholic Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Visitation in Paramus, NJ. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
