Malcolm E. Forsythe
...retired Cambridge Yellow Cab Dispatcher; 78
LOWELL - Malcolm E. Forsythe, age 78, an Army Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, died Friday morning, May 1, at the Radius-Northwood Nursing Home in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Marie (Scorziello) Forsythe.
He was born in Boston, Dec. 30, 1930, and lived in Cambridge the greater part of his life. He enlisted into the Army during the Korean War and served in the 46th Company of Smoke Generators. He reinlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War and served a second enlistment.
He was active in Cambridge Adult Softball, and in his later years was often seen making the walking circuit at Shedd Park in Lowell.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John T. Forsythe and his wife Rosa (Monterrosa) Forsythe of Tewksbury, with whom he resided; two daughters, Susan Forsythe of Cambridge and Marie Forsythe of Dorchester; a brother, Charles Forsythe of Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Lydia Darius, Robert Janelle and Antonio Janelle all of Cambridge, Michael Forsythe of Dorchester, Pirscilla Monterrosa, Brenda Monterrosa, and John T. Forsythe Jr. all of Lowell.
At his request funeral services were private. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, will be appreciated.
