Obituary

Alma G. Quick, a resident of Clarksville since 1957, died peacefully in Marietta, GA on April 30 at the age of 87. Her remains will be cremated at her request and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in the Garden of Valor, Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville. Alma was the widow of Max L. Quick. She was born September 13, 1921 in Harrisburg, Illinois, a daughter of C.D. Glascock and Sarah Lou Hafford Glascock. She was a retired Department of the Army civilian employee at Fort Campbell, and a retired local real estate agent. She was a member of Chapter 870, National Association of Retired Federal Employees and former volunteer for the American Red Cross. Alma had a love for music and poetry and will be remembered for her warmth and generosity. She is survived by a son, Douglas Quick of Clarksville and a daughter, Lucinda Quick Vogelei of Marietta, GA; and nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to a local humane society or favorite non-profit that promotes the appreciation of nature.
