Richard F. Johnson, Jr. 61 years, of Taunton, formerly of Brockton and Kingston, died unexpectedly April 28, 2009 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. Born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Richard F. and Gertrude C. (O’Brien) Johnson. He attended Brockton High School and enlisted in the US Army. He had been employed by the Brockton Enterprise for many years and at the time of his death he was an employee of Stop and Shop Supermarket. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and playing Bingo.
He is survived by two daughters Arlene Calabro and her husband Steve of Kingston and Tracy Johnson of Taunton; five grandchildren Ryan, Nicholas, Matthew and Sara Calabro and Desiree Marcos; two sisters Elizabeth Ripley of Bridgewater and Cynthia Tangstrom of Brockton, a brother Francis Johnson of Plymouth; his former wife Linda Keith of E. Bridgewater and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Friday 6-9pm.
