WORCESTER-Huyen Van Tran, 89, of Worcester, died Monday, April 27th in his home. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Thuc Tong; four sons, Hung and Dong Tran both of Vietnam and Toan and Chuck Tran of Colorado; two daughters, Hai Kim Tran of Worcester and Thuy Kim Tran of San Francisco, CA; five brothers, Lau Tran of Worcester, Y Tran of California and Dien, Trung and Tuyen Tran all of Vietnam; twenty grandchildren, Nghia, Amy Bui, Tam, Peter, Simone, Nancy and Vo Nguyen and James, Phil, Shirley, Jessica, Laura, Sarah, Vuong, Anthony, Robert, Uyen, Eileen, Teresa, Hoabinh, Phuoc and Khanh Tran; four great grandchildren, Daniel and Jaclyn Nguyen and Vivian and Nhi Tran; and other nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Two sons, Thai and Tu Tran predeceased him.
Mr. Tran was born in Vietnam, the son of Tuyen Van Tran and Nho Thi Nguyen. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church and enjoyed playing cards.
The funeral is Saturday, May 2nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Cremation will be in All Faiths Crematory. Calling hours are Friday, May 1st from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
