Marie M. (Gould) Klewin Whitford, age 86, passed away Tuesday at Pendleton.
She was born on July 20, 1922 the daughter of Ray and Marjorie Gould. Raised in Stonington, she was a 1940 graduate of Stonington High School.
She is survived by her children, Woodrow Klewin Jr., Florence Klewin, Linda Lee, Joy Klewin, Barbara Jean Dunbar, Dawn Morel, Alan “Butch” Whitford, and Kim Jones; her brother, George Gould; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alan, Walter, and John Gould, and Idella Klewin.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday from 5-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Old Mystic Baptist Church, Shewville Rd., Old Mystic on Saturday at 10am. The Rev. Horacio R. Da Valle, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Plains Cemetery, North Stonington.
