Werner Alakosow-Fischer, 78, died August 21, 2008 and his wife Mitsu (Maekawa) Alakosow-Fischer, age 77, died April 25, 2009. They were both residents of Brockton for over 35 years. Mrs. Alakosow-Fischer was born in Tokyo, Japan and attended school there. She moved to the United States in 1960. She was a member of the Japan Society of Boston. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, dining out with friends and traveling.
Mr. Alakosow-Fischer was born in Frankfort, Germany and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a translator.
Mrs. Alakosow-Fischer was the sister of Shohachi Arai of Hanover, Shigeko Shida, Tomiko Arai and Hideo Arai all of Japan and the late Hisako Arai and Aiko Deribery.
Interment will be Friday, May 1, at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15 AM. Visiting Hours Omitted.
