Geraldine B. (Evans) Maciel, 66, of East Freetown died July 2, 2003 at Massachusetts General Hospital from injuries sustained after being struck by an automobile.
She was the wife of the late John F. Maciel, Jr. and daughter of the late Edgar Evans and Clara Simpson.
Mrs. Maciel was born in Elmira, NY and lived in New Bedford and East Freetown most of her life.
She was a member of the Church of the New Beginning.
Mrs. Maciel enjoyed bingo and crocheting.
Survivors include 3 sons, Lee W. Wheeler, and his wife Nancy, and Ronald W. Marciel, and his wife Theresa, all of St. Augustine, FL and John J. Maciel of New Bedford; 2 daughters, Darlene M. Smith, and her husband Mike, of St. Petersburg, FL and Rachel M. Maciel of New Bedford; a sister, Margaret Johnson of Danville, Ill; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the Naomi Bowman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordTuesday, July 8th at 9 AM.

Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
