Hudson, MA
Eva (Rakiey) Koziara, 91, of Hudson, died Wednesday, April 22 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northboro. She was the wife of John M. Koziara who died in 1985.
Born in Lincoln, ME, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Meskaveski) Rakiey, she was employed as a cook at the J.F.K. middle school for many years until her retirement in 1981.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Hanson and her husband James Richard “Dick” Hanson of Hudson and Joan Gilmore of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Warsewicz of Maynard; her two grandchildren, David Hanson of Moyock, NC and Charlene Larssen of Hudson. She was pre-deceased by her granddaughter Kathy Hanson in 1991 and three brothers, Joseph, John and Adam Rakiey.
A graveside service will be celebrated on Monday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, located on Cox Street in Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street Hudson, MA 01749.
