Obituary

Peabody, Cecilia T. (Cloutier) Tremblay, age 94 of Peabody and a former resident of Salem, died Sunday April 19, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Adelard Tremblay.

Born in Greenville, NH, she was the daughter of the late Andre and Zelie (Bouley) Cloutier. The family moved to Salem in 1927 from Biddeford, Maine. As a young woman, Cecilia worked for the former Pequot Mills of Salem and it was there that she met her soon to be husband. She was dedicated to her family and to her church and was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish in Salem. She was a former member of Les Dames de la Ste. Famille of that parish.

She is survived by a daughter, Claudette Kotchian and her husband Richard of Peabody, a son, Richard Tremblay and his wife Suzanne of Marblehead, 2 grandsons, Justin R. Kotchian and Todd A. Tremblay and a niece, Denise Cloutier of Beverly.
She was predeceased by her sister Yvonne Norton and 2 brothers, Raoul and Henry Cloutier.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Thursday, April 23, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
