Ruben A. Oliveira, a Bristol County Community College student, died on April 18th at Morton Hospital, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier that day.
He was 19.
Born in St. Michael Azores, he was the son of Jose A. and Anabela D. (Almeida Duarte) Oliveira of Taunton.
A Taunton resident for many years, he moved to this area with his family at the age of 5 months.
Ruben was a 2008 graduate of Taunton High School and a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Cesar M. Oliveira of Taunton; his grandparents, Diamantino M. and Maria E. Duarte of Taunton, and Norvinda Camara of St. Michael, Azores; and several aunts and uncles.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway at St. Mary’s Square, on Saturday, April 25th at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
