Deolinda E. (Marks) Alfonso, 92, of New Bedford died April 19, 2009 at Hallmark Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Mario Alfonso and the former wife of the late Aime Norman LaPointe.
Born in Nantucket, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Estrella) Marks, she lived in Fairhaven, Freetown and New Bedford most of her life.
Survivors include her 5 children, Sandra Humphreys, Deolinda Stolowilsky, Jeannette LaPointe, Shirley Form and Aime Norman LaPointe, Jr.; a brother, Tony Marks; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Philip Marks.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Her family will receive guests on Wednesday morning from 9 AM - 10 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
