Cheryl Dawn Lee Willis, 55, of Tifton died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Arpil 20, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Brother Smith Gentry will officiate with burial to follow in Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery. Don Tawzer, Joe Tawzer, Bobby Perry, Kevin Wilder, Larry Smith and Billy Franklin, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Willis was born on July 13, 1953 in Berrien County and was the daughter of Carrol Robert Lee and Freddie Bexton Lee, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Julian Lee. She was a garment factory worker and a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Willis is survived by her husband, William Donald Willis of Tifton; two sons, William David Willis of Moultrie and Robert Dewayne Willis of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one daughter, Fredda Dawn Willis of Valdosta; a special grandchild, Susan Lee; and a half-sister, Alma Webb.
