Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy M. Flowers, Of Woburn, died Thursday morning, April 16, 2009, in Lexington at the Lexington Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Watertown, Dorothy was the devoted daughter of the late Jennie (Freeman) & Leo F. Miller.

Dorothy was raised and educated in the Allston/Brighton area of Boston. She has been a Woburn resident for the last 55 years. Very active while here in Woburn, she was a member or volunteered for the Third Order of Mary, Winchester Nursing Home, Immaculate Conception Ladies Sodality, Widow to Widow group, Woburn Senior Center and the Seton Guild.

Dorothy was a clerk for the Woburn court system. She retired in the early 1980's, after 10 years of work. She always enjoyed hosting large holiday gatherings for her loving family and many friends.

In addition to her late parents and husband Louis, Dorothy is survived by her devoted son Anthony Flowers and his wife Doreen of Woburn. Loving grandmother of Jonathan Flowers and Jennifer Flowers, both of Woburn. Sister-in-law of Edna Flowers of Woburn and Rose Grafton of Reading. Dear cousin of Priscilla Halford of Cambridge.

Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, April 21, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
