Laconia---Richard C. Norwood, 67, of 765 Union Avenue Laconia died peacefully at his home April 13, 2009.
Richard was born February 24, 1942. He was the son of Frederick and Lorraine (Lemire) Norwood. He was born in Biddeford, Maine, but spent most of his life in Laconia.
His parents and brother Fred Norwood Jr. predeceased him. He is survived by a son, Peter, two daughters; Cyndi and her husband Jeff, Shari and her husband Allan, and four grandchildren; Justin, Brianna, Alex, and Crysta. He has one sister, Elaine and her husband Joe, and their children, Joe, Paul, and David.
Richard served in the Army National Guard. He was employed by many businesses over the years including: Bergen-Patterson, Anchor-Darling, Dow Oil, Richardson’s Taxi, and Laconia Citizen.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, and listening to Country music. His outspoken and humorous personality won him many friends. He was a generous and helpful person, and will be greatly missed.
A special thanks goes out to Ann and Amy for their kindness and care to Richard.
There were no calling hours per Richard’s request. A private family memorial service was held on April 15, 2009.
