FALL RIVER… Thomas J. Eckersley, 54, of Fall River, died unexpectedly Wednesday April 8, 2009.
He was born in Fall River the son of The late Joseph E. and Bessie (Chatterton) Eckersley and had lived in Fall River all of his life.
Mr. Eckersley was a Ham Radio Operator, an avid fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, and he enjoyed spending time on his back deck enjoying the pool and barbecueing with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Sharon (Viveiros) Eckersley, a daughter: Brandy Maldonado and her husband Nuno, 2 brothers: Donald Eckersley and his wife Diane, James Eckersley and his wife Deborah, a sister: Nancy Eddy and her husband William all of Fall River, 2 grandsons: Jose and Eddie Maldonado, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Eckersley Jr. and Muriel Blaze.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 6:30 Pm at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Memorial visitation Friday 5 - 6:30 PM
