Bobby D. Owens, 58, of Fitzgerald died Sunday, April 12, at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Thursday at Crossview Baptist Church, with the Rev. Barry Gordon and Rev. David Fisher officiating, Brent Owens will give a Eulogy. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Owens was born March 16, 1951 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Plemon D. and Sarah Griffin Owens. He had lived in Fitzgerald since 1979, and was a former resident of Alapaha, Winter Haven, Florida and Irwin County. He was a member of the Crossview Baptist Church. He loved to fish, play pool and drive his golf cart.
Survivors are 3 Brothers and 3 sisters: Brenda O. (Raymond) Crutchfield of Winter Haven, FL, Michael J. Owens of Fitzgerald, Lynn O. Bishop of Warner Robins, Patricia O. (Lamuel) Taylor of Adel, Gene Owens of Warner Robins and Donnie Owens of Adel; uncle, Alton Griffin of Fitzgerald; 7 nephews, 2 nieces and several great nephews and nieces.
