Marie A. Viens 89, of Progresso Ave. died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of Lucien L. Viens. Mrs. Viens was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Pierre and Alexina (Barrette) Champagne.
She was a seamer for the former Narragansett Knitting Co. for over forty years.
Besides her husband she leaves a son Robert E. Viens of Grafton, MA, a sister Antoinette Harpin of Woonsocket, and one granddaughter, Katie-Marie Scurry of Richmond, RI. She was also the mother of the late Lorraine Cullerton.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-7 PM.
