Obituary

Joseph R. “Joe” Manzo, 68 of Andover, formerly of Wilmington died Sunday after a long illness in the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Newton, MA.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Viscione) Manzo. Mr. Manzo was the Proprietor of the former Dunkirk Express trucking company in Chelsea for 27 years and retired in 1986. Late U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.

Beloved husband of Corrine (Casaccio). Devoted father of Patricia Rivera, Cori Sugrue, Michele Hudson all of Wilmington, Debbie McPhail of Tewksbury, Pam Nardo of CT, Richie Washak of FL, and Greg Washak of Amesbury. Also survived by 12 loving grandchildren. Brother of Annette Cataldo of Boston, and Marie Doyle of Salem. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributiions may be sent in Joseph’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
