Obituary

Adam Michael Kuligowski, 21, a native of Derry, died of non-combat related injuries in Bagram, Afghanistan on April 6, 2009. He was assigned as a Signals Intelligence Analyst to the Special Troops Battalion 101st Airborne Division, having enlisted in October of 2006.

Adam was born in Seoul, South Korea to Michael and Tracie. He grew up in South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, Utah and New Hampshire where he attended Pinkerton Academy. Adam loved learning and could always be found reading about one of his many interests which included World History, Knight Templars, Nikolai Tesla and Teddy Roosevelt. He was an avid reader and was particularly fond of alternate history novels by authors such as Harry Turtledove. He loved to laugh and always appreciated a good comedy. He planned to go to college for Engineering.

Adam is survived by his father Michael Kuligowski currently residing in Bangkok, Thailand, his mother Tracie Kuligowski of Derry, and his siblings Stefan, Kalia and Lukas. He is also survived by his grandparents Stanley and Phyllis Kuligowski also of Derry.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 17th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Saturday April 18th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 50 Adams Pond Rd., Derry. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
