Agnes L. (Kutz) Toomey, 83, died Tuesday, April 7, at the Sachem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Bridgewater after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Francis X. Toomey Jr. Born in Boston, she was raised in Roslindale and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton. She also lived in Duxbury for several years. While living in Duxbury, Mrs. Toomey was active at Holy Family Parish. She worked as a clerk at the Stoughton District Court for several years, retiring at age 60. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach, specifically Duxbury Beach.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her 8 sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Blessing at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn, 311 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472.
