Rita J. (Hutt) Archambeault, 91, of Hudson died Monday, April 6 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of John Archambeault who died in 1982.
Born and raised in Marlborough, daughter of the late Carl H. and Eva (Grenon) Hutt, she was a graduate of St. Annes Academy in Marlboro and resided in Hudson for over 30 years. Rita, along with her husband John, owned and operated the former “Johnny Archers” music studio in Hudson. Rita devoted many hours of service to the elderly as a representative of the Massachusetts Elder Service Corps Volunteers and was recognized for her service by Secretary of Elder Affairs Richard H. Rowland in April of 1986. She was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson.
Rita was pre-deceased by her brother Gordon J. Hutt of Bismarch, AZ and will be missed by her many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlboro. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. prior to the service at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749. (www.tighehamilton.com).
