Betty Mae Treadway, 77, of Summerville, wife of Douglas Clay Treadway died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Trident Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11 o’clock at Old Fort Baptist Church, Summerville. Entombment will be private.
Friends may visit at the church from 10 o’clock until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Fort Baptist Church, Share the Life Program,10505 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
Mrs. Treadway was born August 19, 1931 in Lee County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Plummer John Peebles and Katie Amerson Peebles. She was a graduate of Lee County Schools. She was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church and was actively involved with the Ladies Sunday School Class. She retired as Day Care Director at Miles Road Baptist Church Children’s Learning Center.

Son: Rev. Dr. Billy Joy and his wife Mary Jacque of Enterprise, Alabama
Daughters: Barbara Kidd and her husband Roger of Orangeburg, Nancy Crooks and her husband Rev. Jim of Florence, Jean Yarborough and her husband Nolan of Bay Minette, Alabama, Linda Boyd and her husband Brad of Foley, Alabama
Step daughters: Glenda Moorehead and her husband John of Billings, Montana and Rhonda Treadway and her husband Allen of Summerville.
17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
Brother: Robert M. Peebles and his wife Elsie of North Charleston.
She was predeceased by her brother: Lewis Mack Peebles and his wife Barbara formerly of Sumter.
