Obituary

Edward Jackunchuck, 81 years, a long time resident of Methuen, Massachusetts, died on Friday April 3rd, 2009 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 24, 1927 to Frank and Anna (Macyna) Jackunchuck. Mr. Jackunchuck was eduacted in Lawrence local schools. He served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War with honorable discharges from both wars, Attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He worked for 25 years as Manager for Sterlings Drug Store on Essex Street in Lawrence, MA. He was a member of St. Francis Church in Lawrence, MA. According to his family he loved the New York Yankees, also loved to ride on the bus to go shopping with his longtime companion Rita Clarke. Back in the late 1960's he loved to hang around with his buddies out infront of Louie Pearl's on Essex Street in Lawrence during the summer. He also was an avid reader.

He is the husband of the late Constance (LeClair) Jackunchuck. He leaves his two daughters: Cindy M. Jackunchuck of Lawrence, MA and Donna M. Jackunchuck of Lawrence, MA. One grandson Sean Patrick Sullivan of Bradford, MA. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 10:00AM at the funeral home. A burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
