Jimmy Wayne Tucker, Sr., 59, of Moultrie died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Silas Carver and Rev. Edsel Young will officiate with burial to follow in Omega Cemetery. David Kilgore, Jackie Crumley, Jerry Crumley, Russell Bryan, Donnie Kilgore and Larry McBrayer will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Tucker was born on May 1, 1949 in Tift County and was the son of Ruby Bryan Tucker of Moultrie and the late Rev. Arthur Willis Tucker. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jody Ann Tucker. He was retired by the Miller Brewing Company Can Plant in Moultrie.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Connie Kilgore Tucker of Moultrie; two sons, Jimmy Tucker, Jr. of Moultrie and Jeffery Tucker of Moultrie; one brother, Willis Tucker of Folkston; one sister, Louise Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; and three grandchildren, Jimmy Tucker, III, Jacob Tucker and Nicholas Tucker.
