Mrs. Jennie R. Pecora, age 95, died Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2009 in Wilmington, at the Wilmington Healthcare Center, after a lengthy illness. Jennie was the beloved daughter of the late Marion (Ciampo) and Antonio Petrillo. Born in Bethel, VT, Jennie moved to Woburn in 1921, where she has resided ever since.
Jennie was a loving and caring person who adored her family and friends. She worked as a cook at the Kennedy Middle School for 15 years here in Woburn. She retired in 1977. Jennie attended Woburn schools and graduated from the High School in 1932. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Jennie was the beloved wife of the late Angelo J. Pecora. Devoted mother of Joan M. Messina, her husband Warren, Joseph A. Pecora and his wife Crystal all of Woburn and John M. Pecora of the Wrentham Developmental Center. Loving grandmother of Joseph, Jeremy & Jennifer Pecora, Andrea & Christopher Messina. Loving great grandmother of Jacob, Thomas Jr., & Sadie. Sister of Adeline Dagata and Margaret Petrillo both of Woburn, Anthony Petrillo of North Reading and the late Frances Quinno, Delphine Walker, Elizabeth Petrillo, Virginia Petrillo, Nicholas Petrillo, Carlo Petrillo and Joseph Petrillo.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
