Obituary

Joseph T. Maker of Salem, NH and formerly of Peabody, MA died Thursday morning at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA; he was 67 years of age

He was born in Brighton, MA and attended school in Wakefield & Saugus, MA. Mr. Maker retired from Midway Construction Co. Georgetown, MA and had previously worked for Roy Bacon Construction Co. and Warren Manter Construction Co both in Saugus, MA.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal, the Bronze Star, the National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal, he was a member of the volunteer Yacht Club in Lynn, MA

He was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Pasternak) Maker and survivors include:

Wife, Doris E. (Paul) Maker of Salem, NH

1 daughter, Nancy and her husband Fred Wallace of Salem, NH

2 sons, Joseph T. Maker Jr. of Brattleboro, VT

Ronald Maker and his wife Kim of Salem, NH

3 sisters, Johanna McKay of North Carolina Constance Paul of Iowa Kathy Anderson of Florida

5 Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to services on Monday at 10:30am at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Main Street in Salem, NH followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, NH. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-6pm at the funeral home.
