Margaret R. Jacques, 97, of Village at Waterman Lake, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Village at Waterman Lake. She was the widow of Lemuel A. Jacques.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late David S. and Jane (Bell) Richardson. She had been a resident of Greenville since 1978 and had previously lived in Glocester and North Providence.
She was a member of Allendale Baptist Church Philathea Club. She was active at Greenville Baptist Church since 1961 and had served on many committees and boards.
She is survived by her son, George M. Jacques, and his wife Sandra and her daughter Jeanie Buckley and her husband, Carl both of Glocester, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her siblings George F. Richardson of South Kingstown, Charles H. Richardson of Pawtucket and Jane F. Hanley of North Carolina. She was the grandmother of the late C. Thomas Buckley, Jr. and sister of the late David S. Richardson
Her funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30am in Greenville Baptist Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation 9-10:30am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
