Dorothy D. Harpin 83, of 85 Lincoln St, died Tuesday in Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Maurice L. Harpin Sr. She was born in Arkansas, a daughter of the late Marion and Maggie-Belle (Thomas) Cauthorn. She worked in the Quality Assurance Dept of Poly-Top Corp. for nineteen years before retiring in 1990. Prior to that, she was employed by the French Worsted Co. for many years. Mrs. Harpin was a warm and generous person,and a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. Besides her husband, she is survived by six children; Jerry Harpin of Attleboro, Maurice Harpin Jr. of Millville, Lawrence “Larry” Harpin of Las Vegas, Marc Harpin of Millville, Christine Wilson of FL, and Lynn Landry of Blackstone, sixteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Augustine’s Church in Millville. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Friday 5-8 pm.
