Jacqueline A. (Rondeau) Nerbonne 55. After a courageous battle with cancer, Jackie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and close friends at her home in North Smithfield.
Jackie was born and raised in Woonsocket and graduated from Woonsocket High School. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from CCRI and her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Salve Regina University.
Jackie took great pride in her position as Director of Nursing at St. Antoine Residence. She knew, loved and cared deeply for both her co-workers and residents of St. Antoine.
Jackie was the youngest of two children born to the late Lucien “Pete” and Yvonne (Ledoux) Rondeau. She was the beloved sister of Jean Rondeau and his wife Lorraine of Woonsocket. She is also survived by her nephew, Navy CWO Michael Rondeau, his wife Tiffany, and their children Nicholas and Jenna, along with countless friends and family whom she felt privileged to know, love and share her life with.
Jackie cherished life and never hesitated to enjoy every special moment with friends and family. She loved traveling, discovering new places and things to do, and enjoyed preparing holiday feasts for friends and family. Her zest for life allowed her to accomplish her goals of discovering new places, meeting new people, and making new friends.
Jackie touched the lives of many with her smile, generosity and willingness to help all who were in need. She maintained her trademarks of humor, generosity, and caring right to the end of her life.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St Theresa’s Church in Nasonville. Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
