Obituary

Irene (Bergeron) Dumas, 74, of Dartmouth died March 29, 2009 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis and Marie (Bedard) Bergeron, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth eight years ago.
She loved the Lord and was an active member of the Christian Fellowship Center Church.
Mrs. Dumas was formerly employed as a waitress for many years before retiring from the China Lantern.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Dartmouth Council on Aging.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Farney and her husband James Farney, Jr. of Dartmouth and Monica Dumas and her companion George Medel of Somerset; two brothers, Raymond Bergeron of Sarasota, FL and Roger Bergeron of Fairhaven; three sisters, Yvette Bergeron of Lakeville, Lorraine LeBlanc of Sarasota, FL and Annette Goodale of Rochester, NH; three grandchildren, Dylan Farney, Jamie Farney and Amber Autry; two great-grandchildren, Bijou and Penny Autry; her dearest friend, Blanche; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Germaine Booker and Rachel Beauregard.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 10 AM in the First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, April 2nd from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
