Dennis Gerard Ouellet of Lawrence, died on March 27, 2009, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, surrounded by his family following a brief illness. He was 54 years old.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on September 10, 1954, he was the beloved son of Claire Marie (Gelineau) and the late Gerard Peter Ouellet.
Dennis attended the Lawrence Schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. He also attended Boston State College for two years.
Dennis resided in Haverhill for many years and participated in group activities at the Haverhill Clubhouse. He loved old movies and enjoyed long walks. He was often referred as “The Family Historian”.
Besides his loving mother, Claire, Dennis is survived by four sisters, Christine Gooding of Rochester, New Hampshire, Paula Syverson and her husband Carl of Milford, Lisa Guskiewicz and her husband Paul of Lawrence, Linda Ouellet and her husband Mark Boegel of Nashua, New Hampshire and one brother, Richard Ouellet of Lawrence, three nephews, one niece and one grandniece. He also leaves his best friend, David Christo of Newburyport.
His funeral mass was celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 114 South Broadway, Lawrence, Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended.
