Brittani Elaine Ames, 9, beloved daughter of Kelly and Sonya Potter, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11:55 am at Kosair Hospital.
She was born in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a student in Mrs. Adams’s 4th Grade Class at Wilt Elementary School and had been a student at Rutherford Elementary School.
She was active at Valley View Church, attending Awana and was soon to be baptized. She loved the Lord and enjoyed Hannah Montana, Tinkerbell and monkeys.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Sandra McNeal.
Other than her parents Kelly and Sonya, she is survived by a brother, Steven Deon Ames; maternal grandparents, Ed and Pat Ames and Lee Plowman; paternal grandfather Elder Carl Major Potter Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her funeral service will be 11 am Tuesday at Valley View Church, 8911 3rd Street Road, with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
