Luis S. Espinoza, Jr. age 16, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at New England Medical Center in Boston.
He was born in Lowell on June 19, 1992, the beloved son of Michelle Rivera and Luis S. Espinoza, both of Lowell. Luis resided in Lowell and attended St. Patrick Parish.
He attended the Pyne Arts Magnet School in Lowell and was currently a junior at the Greater Lowell Vocational Technical School where he was studying heating ventilation and air conditioning. Luis played many sports throughout his life. He excelled in football, baseball and basketball and played in several championships during his childhood and freshman year.
Luis was currently employed at Subway of Dracut and in his free time, he was very sociable and loved being around his family and friends.
Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his step-father, Edwin Soto of Lowell; his paternal grandparents, Marta Espinoza and Luis Lopez of Puerto Rico; his maternal grandparents, Carmen and Wayne Fox of Dracut; a brother, Nathean Soto of Lowell; his aunts and uncles, Raymond Rivera, Elson Rivera, Gorge Espinoza, Oscar Colon, Angel Colon, Carmen Falcon and Saundra Lopez; also many other family members and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Sunday, March 29, from 5 to 8pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Patrick Church, Lowell. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
