ROBERT E. WHITE of Hanson, formerly of Hingham and Pembroke, died on Thursday, March 26th, 2009 at the Norwell Knoll Nursing Hime in Norwell. He was 83. Mr. White was born in Boston and was raised and educated in Brockton. For 35 years he was a shipper for Mason Neilan / Dresser Industries of Avon. He was devoted to his family and was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. (Leigh) White and devoted father of; Sandra A. Leach and her husband Kenneth of St. Cloud, FL, Robert W. White and his wife Barbara of Hanson, Irene E. Thompson of Port Clinton, OH, Cheryl E. Wigmore and her husband Timothy of Duxbury, Brian D. White and his wife Nancy of Weymouth and Donald E. White and his wife Paula of Pembroke. Brother of June Chapman of Marblehead, OH and Virginia Kellerhals of Lexington, KY. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services Thursday, April 2nd at 11 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
Interment in Fort Hill Cemetery, Hingham.
