Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Heartland Hospice, Mrs. Sunny Davenport Wallace, 25, wife of SSG Zygmunt Christopher Wallace, Jr.
Mrs. Wallace was a native of Shelby, NC. She was a 2001 graduate of Burns High School and a member of the Burns High School Band. Mrs. Wallace attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. She became a CNA while living in Oklahoma and was a devoted Army wife.
Family members in addition to her husband include her son: Giancarlo Wallace and stepson: Christopher Moses, all of Grovetown; brother-in-law: Fred Wallace; sister-in-law: Jessica Wallace; father-in-law: Zygmunt C. Wallace, Sr., all in Shelby, NC; mother-in-law: Patricia Petrozzi Wallace of Grovetown; grandparents: Fred and Carmella Petrozzi of Sayreville, NJ; grandmother: Connie Mae Surrant; aunts: Wandra Davenport Taylor, Shelia Ann Degree; uncles: Steve Degree, Ralph (Pete) Wilson; cousin: Geraldine Wilson, all of Shelby, NC. Sunny was pre-deceased by her father Darryl Davenport, mother Priscilla Wilson and grandmother: Irene Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009, 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Clay Barnett Funeral Home in Shelby, NC. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Cousins will be pallbearers. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
