John Michael Nycz, 87, of Summerville, formerly of Linden, New Jersey, husband of Virginia Mae Nycz died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Colleton County Medical Center.
Service and burial will be held in Linden, New Jersey by Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036. 908-486-4118.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Mr. Nycz was born June 11, 1921 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, son of the late Joseph and Veronica Wojcik Nycz. He attended Linden High School, Evening Vocational and Technical Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was a 50 year member of the Carpenters and Millwrights Local #175 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Linden, New Jersey and was a retired constructional superintendent.

4 grandchildren: Kristin M. Listner of East Windsor, NJ, John M. Nycz, Jr. of Lebanon, NJ, Amanda Kratzer and Samantha Kratzer both of Summerville.
2 great grandchildren: Gregory Listner and Keira M. Listner both of East Windsor, NJ
Sister: Sophie Smeraglia of Little Egg Harbor, NJ
Brother: Joseph A. Nycz of Aztec, New Mexico
He was predeceased by his son, Edward Nycz.
