Caroline Turner, 96, passed away March 22, 2009 in Oxford, MS, at Graceland Nursing Home. She was born to the late Ben and Minnie Vann Nicholson in Water Valley, MS, MS. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Everdale M. B. Church in Water Valley, MS where she served as an usher and a Sunday school teacher.
The visitation will be held at Everdale M. B. Church in Water Valley, MS on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 1 pm until service time. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm at Everdale M. B. Church in Water Valley, MS with Rev. Larry Hervey presiding. The committal will be held in Rocky Mount Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner is survived by five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Turner; daughter, Dollie J. Starks; son, James R. Turner; three sisters, Moriah “Polly” Sims, Mary Harris, and Dora Rayburn; and four brothers, Eddie Nicholson, Charlie Nicholson, Hubert Nicholson and Odis Nicholson.
