Mrs. Esther Laura Edwards

Lincolnton, GA. – Entered into rest Friday, March 20, 2009 at University Hospital, Mrs. Esther Laura Edwards, 84, wife of the late Walter Daniel Edwards, Sr.

Mrs. Edwards was a native of Wilmington, NC and had lived in Martinez for 49 years. She was a retired secretary with the ER Department at University Hospital and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #3200.

Family members include his daughters: Mae Turner and husband Marion of Hephzibah, Deann Hill of Lincolnton; son: Robert Edwards and wife Gail of Knoxville; daughter-in-law: Mary Ellen Edwards of Lincolnton, wife of the late Walter Edwards, Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry Morris officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
