Salem: Jeannette R. ‘Jeanne’ (Dionne) Tondreault, age 88 of Salem, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 of a recent illness at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the wife of the late Arthur C. Tondreault.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Armand L. and Eva M. (Marquis) Dionne. A graduate of L’Academie St. Joseph class of 1937 and during World War II, served as a Yeoman 1st class with the US Coast Guard. Jeanne was the office manager of the Archer Insurance Agency of Beverly for over 30 years.
Jeanne’s first love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She love family gatherings, traveling, trips to Foxwoods and cruises. She was an active member of the AARP and a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Salem.
She is survived by a son, Retired USAF Master Sgt. Rich A. Tondreault of Peabody, a daughter Patty M. Drozdowicz and her husband John J. of Georgetown, 2 grandchildren, Jaimee Healy and her husband Tim of Arlington, George Manninen of Haverhill and his companion Danielle Germain, 4 great-grandchildren, Hunter, K.K., Stoddard & Addison. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Lucille Jacques and Marguerite Eccelstone.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 9 am to be followed by her funeral mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 10 am.
