Belvedere, SC – Mr. Coy Woodrow Yonce, Jr., age 67, beloved husband of Mrs. Cheryl Williamson Yonce went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday March 19, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Finley Limehouse officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Yonce proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and also the United States Navy. He retired from the TTX Company – Hamburg Division where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and also a member of American Legion Post 71 in North Augusta.
In addition to his wife Mr. Yonce is survived by his three children, Angela D. Sutton and her husband James E. Sutton, Sr. of North Augusta, SC, Stephanie D. Lowe and husband Richard “Keith” Lowe, Sr. of Warrenville, SC, and Coy W. Yonce, III and wife Tammy Evans Yonce of Braselton, GA; his six grandchildren, James “Jim” E. Sutton, Jr. of North Augusta, Brandon Lee Sutton of Belvedere, Richard “Keith” Lowe, Jr. of Warrenville, Troy “Shane” Sutton of North Augusta, Hunter Kyle Lowe of Warrenville, and Audrey Maren Yonce of Braselton; his great-grandson, James “Trey” E. Sutton, III of North Augusta; his brother, Charles N. Yonce and wife Ann of North Augusta; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Yonce was preceded in death by his parents, Coy Woodrow Yonce, Sr. and Thelma Hutto Yonce; his brothers, Eddie Yonce, Mike Yonce, and Larry “Boogie” O’Neal Yonce, Sr.; and his sister, Grace Mills.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Mills, Billy Ray Mills, Tony Yonce, Larry O. Yonce, Jr., Patrick Yonce, and Troy McClendon.
