John L. "Jack" Aubin, age 72, died Tuesday, March 17 at his home in Merrimack, NH surrounded by his family following a long illness. For 44 years, he was the beloved husband of Claire M. (Carpentier) Aubin.
He was born in Lowell on August 17, 1936, son of the late Francis and Grace (Verges) Aubin. Jack resided in Merrimack, NH and was formerly of Tyngsboro. He was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician with Tremblay and Sons Electric for many years.
Jack was an avid sportsman who enjoyed playing softball, bowling and golf. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four children, Kenneth Coon of Tyngsboro, Deborah Pyle and her husband Robert of Tyngsboro, John B. Aubin of Leominster and David Aubin and his wife Lisa of Oregon. Also nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Benjamin Aubin.
At his request, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday morning, March 23, at 10 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home Health and Hospice, 22 Prospect St., Nashua, NH 03060.
