Dorothy Nelson, age 81 passed away at her home on March 18, 2009. Dorothy was the loving wife for 61 years of Roy V. Nelson Jr. and the devoted mother of Stephen Nelson of Rockland, Douglas Nelson and his wife Vicki of Indian Hills, CO, Brian Nelson and his wife Mary of Rockland, Judith Pinkava and her husband Chris of Orange Park, FL and Laurel Ericson and her husband David of Plymouth. She was the sister of Louise Courchene of Summertown, TN, Carl “Eric” Ericson of Plymouth and Joanne Trenholm of Par Harbor, SC. Dorothy also leaves 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a Weymouth Native before moving to Plymouth 19 years ago. Mrs. Nelson was the Clerk of Corporation for Roy V. Nelson and Sons Inc. Dorothy was a member of the Viking Club, Stenkil Lodge 93 in Braintree a member of the Old South Union Congregational Church of Weymouth and an avid gardener. Friends and relatives are invited to the Funeral at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Monday March 23 at 10 A.M.
