James A. Oliver, Sr., age 70 of Fall River. Widower of Natalie (Arruda) Oliver and son of the late John and Mary C. (Netto) Oliver. Passed away March 19, 2009. He was a lifelong Fall River resident and was a retired laborer at St. Patrick Cemetery.
He is survived by: 2 children: Michael E. and wife Sandra Oliver of Williamson, SC and James A. and wife Pamela Oliver of Assonet, MA; 3 siblings: Richard Oliver of Assonet, Anne Marie & Marie J. Oliver, both of Fall River; 5 grandchildren: Eric Souza, Jacob Dunham, Amanda, Matthew & Justin Oliver, many nieces & nephews and his longtime companion: Terry Galary. He was father of the late Mark Oliver and brother of the late John Oliver and Deborah A. Arruda.
Graveside services will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home
